It began with one small dancefloor.

In November 2022, best friends and podcasters Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills hired a room at a bowls club in Brisbane, borrowed a speaker, picked up a microphone, and pressed play on the songs they loved for 80 women who – just like them – were craving a simple, welcoming, joy-filled night out.

What happened next was bigger than anyone expected. Word spread, tickets disappeared faster every time, and women kept showing up for the music, the freedom, the nostalgia, the connection, and the chance to dance together again.

Today, DISCO CLUB has become Australia’s largest event series for women, repeatedly selling out 5,000-capacity venues and bringing tens of thousands of women together every year around the country.
